Tucked away in a cozy corner of the neighborhood, this charming little Burmese restaurant is a delightful discovery for anyone in search of authentic and flavorful dishes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a casual vibe that makes you feel right at home. The real stars here, however, are the dishes. The Tea Leaf Salad is a must-try. It's fresh, tangy, and packed with flavor thanks to the fermented tea leaves, crunchy peanuts, and a medley of vegetables. The balance of textures and the slight bitterness of the tea leaves make this dish stand out as a perfect appetizer. The Pad Thai here is another surprise. It had elevated flavors with the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and savory flavors. The noodles are perfectly cooked and the portion is generous--definitely worth ordering. For those craving something heartier, the Salmon dish is a fantastic choice. The salmon is cooked to perfection, tender on the inside with a beautiful crispy skin. It's paired with a flavorful sauce that brings out the richness of the fish, making it an unforgettable main course. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality of food served. Whether you're a fan of Burmese food or new to it, this little gem is definitely worth a visit.
Casual sit-down restaurant with very delicious, authentic Burmese food in West Dublin. I really everything I've tried here, with rankings looking something like: Tea Leaf Salad - 9/10 Rainbow Salad - 7/10 Burmese Garlic Noodle - 8/10 Sesame Beef - 9/10 Nan Gyi Dok - 7/10 Coconut Rice - 9/10 I've visited 3 times and the service was stellar every time, even during peak busy hours. One of the times, we arrived 30 minutes before they were going to close but they still seated us and brought our food out quickly, sparing us a solid chunk of time to eat.
Came here late for lunch and it wasn't too busy. We ordered the tea leaf salad, Burmese style chicken curry, green beans, and a side of coconut rice. I was very impressed with the service we received all the food within minutes. The tea leaf salad was decent but could use more tea flavor. The green beans were perfectly cooked and had a nice crunch to it. The chicken was my favorite great it paired well with the coconut rice and the chicken was very tender. Overall I feel like the flavor could be more authentic to Thai cuisine but between the service and taste I highly recommend this place.
Came around noon on a Sunday and we got seated immediately but the restaurant filled up shortly after. The store was very clean and spacious. The food came out very quick and everything tasted pretty good, my favorites being the Palata and the Pad Thai. I'd probably pass on the Samosas and the Chicken Curry because they were a bit blander in taste, but otherwise I'd totally come back if I was craving Burmese food!
Food was very tasty, service attentive and location downtown was very inviting. Would definately go back and will recommend to anyone looking for great eats in Walnut Creek. Give them a try.
This is a fantastic casual spot that's well worth the 30-minute wait we had on a Saturday night. We started with the tea leaf salad (3.6/5) and mohinga (3.7/5), fish soup, (though Mingalaba's in Burlingame still has the edge on these two), and also had the black bean string beans (4/5), chicken curry (4.6/5), shrimp and onions (3.5/5), garlic noodles (3.9/5) which could use a bit more duck), and Burma Burma noodles (3.5/5). The highlights of the meal were definitely the black pepper beef (5/5 good job, Jenn!) and the coconut rice (5/5). The manager kindly comped our dessert due to our wait, which was a nice touch, and the service throughout was attentive and helpful. With reasonable prices, you get great value here--a rarity in the Bay Area these days. 4.8 overall but rounding up to 5 stars for the generous desserts. Definitely check them out if you're in the area!
My friends and I met here for dinner on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately upon arrival. The setting was bright, clean, and modern. The staff provided outstanding service during our entire time at the restaurant, making us feel welcome and helping us to anything we needed. We ordered several different dishes for sharing, and agreed that everything was quite tasty. This included the tea leaf salad, burmese style pork curry, burmese garlic noodle with roast duck, coconut rice, burmese iced tea, and coconut fried pudding. The curry and garlic noodles particularly stood out, with a nice consistency and lots of flavor. The burmese iced tea was very sweet. And the coconut fried pudding was served hot and freshly made, nice and airy, just a yummy dessert, especially with the scoop of vanilla ice cream that came on the side.
We were driving through 580 and needed a pit stop for lunch. So glad we found this place! We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated but took the crowd as a good sign. Once we got seated, we were happy with the attentive service even during the busy Sunday lunch rush. The food smelled delicious and tasty great, especially the mango chicken and coconut rice. Both were so fragrant and highlighted each of the key ingredients. You must try these! The tea leaf salad was good but more bitter than everyone liked. This was the only reason for the drop from 5 stars. But next time we are passing through, we will be back and feel confident that we can find something new to try.
This place is amazing, I always come here to celebrate birthdays with my loved ones. My go-to orders: - Mango Chicken - Tea Leaf Salad - Burma Burma noodles - garlic noodles - lettuce wraps - burmese iced tea - Minted Jalapeño chicken If you're ever in the Dublin/San Ramon area and need your Burmese fix this is the place to be. They have the best service and it's family style. I recommend making a reservation if you're coming with a large party. There tends to be a wait at peak hours. They have a good wine list, sake, but no cocktails.
